I grew up breathing in the salt air of the Puget Sound and the fir needle floors of the Cascade and Olympic mountains. I trained for many summers as a violinist at a music festival in the Colorado Rockies, where I loved hitting the trails on foot and bike with my friends and colleagues. I believe this is how, long ago, the vital importance of a sense of belonging and connection to others and to nature settled into my bones.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a Concentration in Trauma and Abuse from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, a social justice oriented graduate school affiliated with The Allender Center. Grounded in liberation and feminist theology, TSS teaches relational psychodynamic therapy through an anti-oppressive and contextual lens. I am deeply grateful for the education, mentorship, and community I found there.
My training also includes dual certifications in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy from the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA), as well as a Certificate Level II in Narrative Focused Trauma Care. I am passionate about the healing power of storytelling, embodiment, and relationship, both human and non-human.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent two decades as a professional violinist. I earned a Bachelor of Music from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The collaborative and creative sensibilities wired into my mind/body by decades of bringing music to life deeply inform my orientation as a psychotherapist.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the State of Washington. My license # is MC61443275 and I am under the supervision of Laura Mote, LICSW (License #LW61182160) and D. Michael Louderback, MA, LMHC (License #LH60779138).
